Pass It On 2021 will be our last hurrah!
With a heavy heart, Jesse & Karen Zdonek will be hosting our final tournament this Spring. After twelve years of hosting this tournament, we are thrilled to announce that G-Vegas will be taking over administration of Pass It On keeping with the same mission in which the tournament was created. Thank you, Frank McCravy at G-Vegas for continuing the tradition and purpose of Pass It On!
We are thankful for every player that has come out to play on some of the best grass in the South! Over the past twelve years, the players have given more than $30,000 to support missionaries and the communities they are impacting with the gospel. Your generosity has improved life for dozens of missionaries and countless recipients of ministry across five continents in more ten+ countries. Thank you all so much.
Thank you to all the people that have helped volunteer your time, expertise, equipment, and passion to make each tournament happen. We could not have done any of this without your help. There are too many to list here, but I hope each of you know we have appreciated all that you have done.
We have had a blast running this tournament over the years. We watched our children grow up around volleyball, fall in love with the sport like we do, play in the tournament, and now our son is playing collegiately. Thank you for giving us so many great years. It has been a great run and we look forward to making this the best tournament yet!
Our Mission for Pass It On Volleyball 2021 - Suicide Prevention and Morgan's Closet
On April 15, 2020 Morgan Stephanie Dorneker, Janet and Jerry’s only child, took her life. This devastating tragedy touched our family in a very personal way. Morgan was our niece and Karen's twin sisters daughter. A large part of Morgan's life was volleyball. We wanted to reach out to our volleyball community to raise awareness of suicide prevention and support Morgan's Closet.
If you find yourself struggling with depression and need someone to talk to, we encourage your to reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255). It can be a life saver.
Morgan was a vivacious and energetic force with an infectious laugh and loving spirit. She was bright, creative and beautiful. Morgan’s curiosity and inquisitiveness was legendary. Her mastery of Chinese was breathtaking and she enjoyed sharing her talent with others. Morgan grew up in the Intense gym and embodies what Intense is all about - family. She was a little sister to all her dad’s teams and the biggest cheerleader of every player and coach. Morgan played volleyball with intensity and heart. She radiated positivity on and off the court.
To honor the life and legacy of Morgan Dorneker, Morgan’s Closet, was created to provide articles of clothing for victims or loved ones suffering from trauma as they are discharged from the hospital. Proceeds from Pass It On 2021 will be donated to Morgan's Closet.
